Sisters of St. Joseph Brentwood - Multi-Site WordPress & CRM Integration

Three-site WordPress rebuild with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge CRM integration - building complete donation, event registration, and memorial purchase forms in Raiser's Edge, plus Google Forms for program intake, and WCAG accessibility compliance.

Overview

Sisters of St. Joseph Brentwood is a Catholic nonprofit organization running multiple community programs including an immigration clinic and English-language learning programs for immigrant women. I served as their primary web and digital communications specialist, managing all three program websites and supporting their fundraising and donor communications infrastructure.

What I built

  • Designed and built 3 program websites with WordPress and Blackbaud's drag-and-drop builder - owning information architecture, content strategy, page builds, and ongoing maintenance for each property
  • Integrated Blackbaud Raiser's Edge donation forms into the WordPress sites so gifts flowed accurately into donor records
  • Built complex donation forms in Raiser's Edge that demanded deep knowledge of the system - adding custom features to tailor each form to a specific event, from ticketing to course purchases, and testing every flow end to end so it worked smoothly for the people using it. I also built forms in another eCRM the organization was exploring
  • Worked extensively in Submittable on the grantmaking process - building the grant application forms, collaborating with the team on the application questions, and testing the full flow as a beta user to catch and report bugs before launch
  • Built volunteer and first-contact forms for the Long Island Immigration Clinic in three languages - English, Spanish, and Creole - using Google Forms, so each response landed in a Google Sheet and reached the specific person responsible for following up
  • Became the organization's primary Raiser's Edge troubleshooter - independently diagnosing and resolving donation form failures and CRM integration issues that long-tenured staff could not resolve
  • Implemented WCAG accessibility standards throughout - semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, color contrast compliance, and screen reader compatibility
  • Used CSS for consistent, maintainable styling across all three sites
  • Performed QA testing on all pages and forms before launch - cross-browser, cross-device, and functionality testing
  • Trained staff on CMS governance - content update procedures, publishing workflows, and accessibility requirements
  • Managed end-to-end email marketing campaigns in Constant Contact - content strategy, segmentation, and performance tracking

I built and managed the donation forms on the website, as well as forms inside separate campaigns that each required a custom build.

I built Google Forms in several languages, including registration forms for the Long Island Immigration Clinic.
