eCRM & Donation Form Work
I've built and configured donation forms, giving pages, and fundraising infrastructure across multiple nonprofit eCRM platforms - including Blackbaud Raiser's Edge, Raisely, GoFundMe, DonorBox, and Zeffy. This page documents the real platforms I've worked in, what I built, and the outcomes.
Blackbaud Raiser's Edge - Sisters of St. Joseph Brentwood
A full-time role at a nonprofit running three websites, where I served as the organization's primary eCRM administrator for Blackbaud Raiser's Edge.
What I built
- Built custom donation forms integrated with the Raiser's Edge donor database, so every gift landed in the right constituent record
- Built every kind of form the organization needed, not only donation forms - event registration forms and memorial gift purchase forms in Raiser's Edge, and even grantmaking application forms in Submittable
- Troubleshot donation forms across all three sites whenever gifts, fields, or confirmations stopped working
- Maintained donor data integrity, keeping records, campaigns, and appeals clean and consistent inside Raiser's Edge
My work went beyond donation forms - I built whatever form a program or campaign needed.
The go-to technical resource
I independently diagnosed and resolved donation form failures that long-tenured staff had not been able to fix - and became the organization's go-to technical resource for the platform.
Donation Forms in Raiser's Edge
Platform experience
Blackbaud Raiser's Edge is widely regarded as one of the most complex nonprofit CRMs on the market - comparable in scope to Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack, Engaging Networks, Bloomerang, and DonorPerfect. Like these platforms, it manages the full donor lifecycle: constituent records and relationship tracking, gift processing and recurring giving, campaign and appeal management, custom donation form configuration, segmented communications, and fundraising reporting. Having learned Raiser's Edge on the job and become the organization's primary troubleshooter for donation form failures, I'm confident in applying that same platform fluency to Engaging Networks.
Raisely eCRM - Cat Connections NYC Fundraising Infrastructure
I founded Cat Connections NYC and built its fundraising from scratch - with no existing donor base and no budget. Raisely became the platform that made it work.
What I configured
- Branded donation pages that matched the Cat Connections NYC identity, built in Raisely's drag-and-drop builder and customized with HTML and CSS
- Campaign-specific giving pages for individual cats, each built around that cat's rescue story and medical needs
- Recurring giving options so supporters could become monthly donors
- Donor acknowledgment emails that thanked every supporter after their gift
The outcome
$18,000+ raised in under 6 months
90% of the funds went to medical bills for the cats in our care.
GoFundMe Campaign Pages - Individual Animal Medical Fundraising
Before we moved to Raisely, GoFundMe was where Cat Connections NYC raised money for cats with serious medical needs - one campaign per cat, each focused on the care that cat needed.
What I built
- Individual campaign pages for each cat in medical need, tied to a specific procedure
- Campaign copy that told each cat's story clearly and honestly, so donors knew exactly who they were helping
- Medical progress updates posted throughout treatment to keep donors informed and build trust
- Photo and video content showing each cat's rescue and recovery
The outcome
Multiple campaigns fully funded specific medical procedures for cats in our care.
Raisely Donation Page - CSJ Learning Connection
CSJ Learning Connection, a Sisters of St. Joseph program that has helped immigrant women learn English for more than 30 years, had no online presence and no way to accept donations online. Alongside its new Webflow website, I gave the program its own donation system in Raisely.
What I built
- Implemented Raisely as the program's first fundraising platform
- Designed and built the program's donation page and form in Raisely, matching the look of the new Webflow website
- Connected the website's giving paths to the Raisely donation page, so visitors could move from learning about the program to donating in a few clicks
DonorBox & Zeffy - Platform Experience
I've also worked with DonorBox and Zeffy - not only at Cat Connections NYC, but with other nonprofits I've supported, including CSJ Learning Connection and ParaGenius Foundation.
Choosing the right eCRM for a specific campaign requires understanding fee structures, donor experience, integration capabilities, and organizational capacity - I've evaluated and implemented multiple platforms with that lens.
Platform Comparison
A side-by-side look at the fundraising platforms I've worked in.
| Platform | Used for | Key strength | Complexity |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blackbaud Raiser's Edge | Sisters of St. Joseph | Enterprise donor management | High |
| Raisely | Cat Connections NYC, CSJ Learning Connection | Modern nonprofit fundraising | Medium |
| GoFundMe | Cat Connections NYC | Campaign-specific giving | Low |
| DonorBox | CSJ Learning Connection | Embeddable forms | Medium |
| Zeffy | Cat Connections NYC, ParaGenius Foundation | Zero-fee giving | Low |
Let's talk
I'm familiar with the architecture and logic of nonprofit eCRM platforms at the implementation level - form configuration, donor data flows, campaign tracking, and conversion optimization. I'm actively expanding my Engaging Networks knowledge and available to discuss any of this work in detail.
