Cat Connections NYC - Digital Fundraising Infrastructure & Form Architecture

Story-driven Raisely donation forms built in Raisely's drag-and-drop builder, with hand-written HTML and CSS to customize what the builder couldn't - plus multi-channel campaigns that raised $18,000+ in under 6 months for animal medical care.

Overview

With no existing donor base and no budget, I built Cat Connections NYC's donation forms in Raisely and the campaigns that brought donors to them. Every form was designed around a single cat's story, so supporters knew exactly who they were helping. The result was $18,000+ raised in under six months, funding medical care for cats including cancer treatment, corrective eye surgery, and emergency procedures.

What I built

Built every donation form in Raisely using its drag-and-drop builder and styling panel, writing custom HTML and CSS to adjust layouts and styling beyond the builder's built-in options - following UX/UI best practices and fully responsive across mobile, tablet, and desktop
Made storytelling the core of each form - working closely with our fosters and trappers, interviewing them to capture every detail of a cat's rescue and medical needs, and writing that story into the campaign
Promoted each campaign across social media - Reddit, Facebook groups, and Instagram - to reach donors beyond our immediate community
Linked every campaign in our Instagram Linktree so supporters could easily find a campaign and donate to a specific cat
Created GoFundMe donation pages for individual cats' medical fundraising, before we started using Raisely
Raised funds with Meta's and Instagram's native fundraising tools alongside the Raisely forms

Campaigns - Raisely Donation Forms

Each cat in our care and each fundraising campaign had its own custom Raisely donation form, shared on social media to bring in donations for medical care.

Results

$18,000+ raised in under 6 months through organic campaigns
Rescued around 50 cats - trapping them from dangerous conditions on the street, removing them from hoarding situations, accepting owner surrenders, and taking in found cats who had nowhere else to go
Covered the medical costs of the cats in our care, from dental work, ulcer treatment, and wound care to amputations when needed, plus spay and neuter surgery for every cat
