Problem

CSJ Learning Connection is a program of the Sisters of St. Joseph that has served its community for more than 30 years, helping immigrant women learn English. Despite decades of real achievements, the program had no online presence at all. The goal was to build a beautiful, fully responsive website on Webflow that would finally show its mission to the world.

Role & Approach

I was the web designer and developer, building the site structure, visual direction, and content, and recommending logo updates. Beyond the build, I advised the team directly on fundraising technology.

What I built

  • Designed and built a fully responsive website on Webflow, following UX/UI best practices
  • Grounded the design in community research and tested the prototype with the program's donors, students, and teachers
  • Built a language switcher with custom JavaScript so visitors can read the site in either language
  • Wrote custom JavaScript to improve performance and boost the site's Google PageSpeed score
  • Implemented Raisely as the program's fundraising software, then designed and built its donation page and form in Raisely
  • Created case studies in Canva documenting the project and shared them with the program's director

Raisely Donation Form

A walkthrough of the donation page I designed and built in Raisely for CSJ Learning Connection - from the program's story and giving options to the donation form itself.

Visual documentation

The project case study I created in Canva and shared with the program's director - covering the community research, prototype testing with students, teachers, and donors, and the final design.

Result

Built CSJ Learning Connection's first-ever online presence - a standalone, fully responsive website with a modern design and animations, plus the program's own donation system. A big step for a small, long-established nonprofit that deserved this exposure. The site helps students find information about the program, encourages donors to support the mission, recruits volunteer teachers, and shows what makes the program great.
